Marbella provided one in seven new jobs in Malaga in June

Like all tourist resorts the employment
figures improve significantly in Marbella come the summer months.
According to statistics released by the INEM (National Employment
Institute) in June 7,429 people signed a new employment contract in
Marbella where there are at present only 2,975 people officially out of
work.

The new jobs in Marbella amount to 13 per cent of the total in the province of Malaga where more than 55,000 new contracts were signed in June.
More than 70 per cent of the new jobs found last month were in the services sector. Of the remaining unemployed, 60 per cent are women, the majority aged between 30 and 34.
